Since Paul was working out of town most of the summer by
August I needed a getaway. So my friend Lisa and I packed up the kids and the
car and headed to her parents cabin in Blairsville, Ga. Since Holly is only a
couple of hours away from the cabin she met us there with Kyra and James. Even
though it was a quick weekend trip and we probably spent as much time driving
there as we did at the cabin it was still nice to getaway from home for a
couple of days and see something new. It was beautiful up there. On Saturday we
hiked up to Brasstown Bald. Coming from out west you don’t really think that
there can be as beautiful landscapes on the east coast but with all the green
there really is. Thanks Lisa and Holly for letting me escape if even for a
little while!
