What we have been up to...February 2013

For you Veggie Tale fans out there, Aiden is pretending to be Larry Boy.

Macie having her first tea party with her bestie Hazel.

Aidens first stick figure, if you can call it that.

In February we found out we would have a new little one joining the family.

Snow Day

It doesn't happen very often but every once in awhile we get a snow day in North Carolina and in February the snow did not disappoint. As with most snows in NC, it was pretty much gone by the next day but we had fun while it lasted.

What we have been up to...January 2013

2013 became the year of the Iphone. Not for everyone else, just for me as I am about half a decade behind on the smart phone bandwagon. I finally bit the bullet and upgraded my phone and because of that, I got lazy and most of my pictures came from my Iphone rather then my camera. On the upside, more memories have been captured then ever before.

Roasting marshmallows in our redneck homemade  fire pit in the backyard.

Catching some fish at the boat show

New Years Eve 2012

New Years Eve this year was spent in Atlanta with the Noblits which meant lots of games, lots of food and lots of fun.

Every New Years Eve they have a tradition where Cameron makes a sort of fried bread. (Let's just call it a doughnut with out the hole because I can't seem to remember what it is actually called) He fills one with jelly, one with mustard and the rest are left plain. If you get the one with jelly it means you will have a year of love. If you get the one with mustard I think it means you will have a year of good luck. I sound a little unsure so I guess it is time to check some facts.

Busch Gardens Christmas 2012

For the past 2 years we have made it a tradition to go to Busch Gardens for their Christmas celebration. They always have it decorated so pretty with all the lights and it really helps you to get into the holiday spirit.

Elf on the shelf 2012

This was the first year we did the "Elf on the Shelf" and Aiden loved it. Macie didn't really understand it at that point but I think that this Christmas she will really get into it. Our elves got into all kinds of trouble. Sometimes they liked what they were doing so much they stayed in the same spot for a few days. They even found us where ever we would go even if it was a different state. They also met a few friends along the way which only meant, double trouble.

Christmas 2012

Once you have kids, there is nothing like having Christmas morning in your own home. We have done it the past couple of years and we have loved it.

Last year I started a tradition of wrapping all our Christmas books and letting the kids open one every night up until Christmas Eve.
