Summer Fun!

Because of Cameron's (my brother in law) work schedule this summer, Holly (my sister) was able to go on a "world tour" as some have called it. Because of this Holly and I were able to spend about six weeks together. We stayed super busy so we didn't get to do all the things I had envisioned us doing and not to mention we always had four kids in tow, but we still had a ton of fun. I miss being around my sisters so I am always grateful for the time I do get to spend with any of them. Now that our time together is coming to an end I am sad but I do look forward to get back to a normal routine and I am sure Paul is excited to have his wife back, at least I hope so. I am so grateful for Paul and the patience he has had this summer with me being gone a lot and when then when we were home having three extra kids around. However, we are both going to miss having them around.
These are some of the fun pictures from the time we spent together. We also went on a couple vactions but I will post those pictures later.

These kids sure do love thier cousin Aiden

Paul came home one day with this huge raft to pull behind the boat. He blew it up and brought it in the house and it filled up almost our entire family room. Then he told the girls they could sleep on it. (That little bundle on the right is Aiden)

At the lake. They are ready to ride.

James and Kyra are ready to go work for Paul.

Aww what a sweet uncle.

Catch Up!

This summer has been super busy. I have not had the chance to post anything since June so now I will have to play catch up and I promise I will do it real soon. I just hope I can remember everything.

Memorial Weekend

Bear with me. I have not posted for about a month so this is going to be a long post with mostly pictures.

We decided to bless Aiden over Memorial weekend so that more of our family were able to come. It was so nice to have everyone here. My parents were able to come out along with Char and Holly, Cameron and their kids. Paul's parents were also able to come along with Emaw and Grandaddy Butler and Grandma Cauley. On Saturday Paul's family was nice enough to bring the boat out to the lake so we could spend the day boating and swimming. We all had a lot of fun. I am so glad that everyone was able to come spend time with us. It is always fun when we can get our two families together. Thank you everyone for coming. I hope you all enjoyed yourselves as much as we did.

Grandma Cauley and Aiden snuggled up together

Camree & Kyra loved Aiden to death. Camree had such a hard time saying goodbye. It was so cute but sad at the same time. I am glad he has cousins that love him so much.

Aiden's first time down the slide

While Grandpa Korth was doing tricks Camree and Kyra were picking up all the money that was dropping out of his pockets.
Grandpa, chasing the girls around trying to get his stuff back.

James doing tricks just like Grandpa Korth.

Here are some more pictures of Aiden. I can't believe how much he has changed just over the past few weeks.

Aiden Darrell Butler

Aiden Darrell Butler was born Friday April 17, 2009. He was 8 lbs 4 oz and 20.5 inches long. Although this little boy has only been here for less then a week we can not imagine life without him. It has been an adjustment and I am sure it will continue to be however we could never ask for a greater blessing. We love him more then we could have ever imagined.

The Lost Sea

Last weekend Paul & I met up with Holly and Cameron in Tennessee. We had a lot of fun but the best part was just being able to hang out with them and the kids. We love those kids and as usual really hated to say goodbye. I wish it was more often but I am glad we get the opportunity to see them as much as we do. While we were there we went through this cave called the Lost Sea. You basically take a tour through the cave and then take a boat ride in the lake inside the cave. We all had a good time although the walk back up was a little rough for someone who is 7 months pregnant but it was definitely worth it.

Holly & Cameron thought they would give Paul some parental training.

You can't really see much of the cave in these pictures. What you can see is that the humidity really did a number on my hair!

Baby Blanket

For Christmas this year I decided I wanted a sewing machine. I am not really sure why. I have not sewn anything since Home Ec in Jr High but I have two talented sisters that have taken it on and I guess I decided since I am going to be a mom soon I better get start getting domesticated. When I got it, I took it out of the box and threaded the machine but after that there was not a whole lot I could do but just kind of look at it. A few weeks later I decided to try making the baby a blanket. I did a rag quilt which was actually pretty easy and it ended up hiding a bunch of my flaws. I do have to say I was pretty proud at my first sewing project. We will see if there is more to come.
