Elf on the shelf 2012

This was the first year we did the "Elf on the Shelf" and Aiden loved it. Macie didn't really understand it at that point but I think that this Christmas she will really get into it. Our elves got into all kinds of trouble. Sometimes they liked what they were doing so much they stayed in the same spot for a few days. They even found us where ever we would go even if it was a different state. They also met a few friends along the way which only meant, double trouble.  

Christmas 2012

Once you have kids, there is nothing like having Christmas morning in your own home. We have done it the past couple of years and we have loved it. 

Last year I started a tradition of wrapping all our Christmas books and letting the kids open one every night up until Christmas Eve.

Being that Paul worked in South Carolina for a chunk on the holiday season, we were able to spend some time in Georgia with Holly and Cameron. While we were there we toured the Mayfield Dairy.

We spent Thanksgiving in Atlanta with Holly and Cameron. My mom and Char flew in as well, so we decided to hike Stone Mountain while we were there.

I guess since I am a year behind on our blog it is time for a massive update. I am sure we don't have many visitors coming over here any more but I think it is very important to document the things we have done since this is really our only family record right now. So bear with me as there are plenty of posts and updates to come.
