My Best Guys

I felt like I needed to do a post to let my two favorite guys know how special they are to me.

I am so lucky to have such a wonderful husband. I love him so much. He is always supportive of anything that I want to do. I feel so blessed to know that he is mine forever. I appreciate everything that he does for our little family. He works so hard everyday so that I can stay home and take care of Aiden. I feel so grateful for the life that we have built together and for the little blessing we have brought into this world. Thank you for everything that you do Paul. I love you.

I know I have said it before but I can not express how blessed I feel to have Aiden in our lives. He is such a sweet, special spirit. Every time I look at him I can not help but smile. He is such a good little baby. He was defiantly worth our wait. I love you sweet baby!

9 months!!

These pictures are courtesy of Gina. (Thanks Gina, they turned out great!)

I can not believe that Aiden is already 9 months old. Where has the time gone? He is no longer my little tiny baby that will let me sit there and hold him. Instead he is this big baby that crawls and wants to explore the world. Not only is he crawling but he is also walking along furniture and trying to balance himself long enough to stay standing. I am sure he will be walking in no time which means he will probably just be getting into more stuff. Each new stage is exciting and the time is going by so fast. His favorite thing to do lately is pull out all the DVD's and throw them on the floor. I am picking up DVD's about 3 times a day. It's ok though as long as he is getting enjoyment out of it. It keeps him busy for awhile at least.
He is doing more and more everyday. Paul and my favorite thing right now is getting him to shake his head. At first he was just copying us when we would do it but now he has caught on to its meaning. Every time we tell him "no" know, he just shakes his head and looks at us with a big grin. After that we are quick to forget what we were telling him "no" for in the first place. I have a feeling that might be his first word and I can't say that I am proud of that. He also likes to hear himself. A lot of times when I put him down for a nap he just sits there and gabbers to himself until he falls asleep.
I am sure I have said this before but I feel so blessed to be this little boy's mom. He is happy most of the time and such a cute little guy. I can't stop lovin on him and I can't imagine life without him. Here are a few pictures of him lately.

Aiden crawled under his jumper and stood up under it. He did find a peep hole through one of the leg holes. I am glad he stayed there long enough for me to take a picture. He did think he was pretty funny.

One night after putting him to bed he was just talking away. We came in his room and this is how we found him. He was just hanging out, having a good time.

Aiden will go to any length to get to what he wants

Christmas

This year we were able to fly out to Idaho to spend Christmas with my family. I always look forward to those trips and being able to spend time with family and friends. Aiden and I went out a little earlier then Paul so we could get in some extra family time. And that we did. Aiden had alot of fun with all his cousins and he sure didn't mind all the extra attention. His cousin Camree absolutely adores him and makes a very good "second mommy". I must say though, I was a little disappointed my second day out there when Paul called and said we were getting snow in North Carolina, when all it was doing in Idaho was melting. As tradition goes we spent Christmas Eve with my dad's family and Christmas morning with our family opening presents. Aiden didn't really get it this year but he sure had fun with the wrapping paper. Then we spent the rest of the day with my mom's family. With everyone having more kids it seems to get crazier and louder every year but thats the way we like it in the Korth house. I wouldn't have it any other way!

We flew home a few days after Christmas and spent some time with Paul's family. His mom and dad and sister Heather came and stayed with us through New Years so it was almost like a second Christmas. I am so glad they were able to come spend time with us and that we were able to see Heather for a bit. I am especially grateful for the time they get to spend with Aiden.

No, these are not all Aiden's presents, in fact only a few are his.
Aiden was completely mesmerized by Santa. At least until Santa dropped him. It really wasn't that traumatic. He went to put Aiden down on the floor and I think he though Aiden could walk. It was all ok in the end and Santa did feel very bad about the whole thing.

Halloween

This was Aiden's first Halloween so what kind of parents would we be if we did not take him trick or treating. I know he is only 6 months old so of course he is not going to be able to enjoy any of his candy but let me give you the breakdown. 20% of me wanted to take him just cause we are new parents and we did not want to miss out on the excitement of his first Halloween. Another 20% of me wanted to take him so I could show off his cute costume and the other 60% (and I am not ashamed to admit) was because I wanted chocolate. Plus, if I go to all the work of dressing him and me up don't I deserve a little treat? It was fun though. Paul's parents ward party was the night before so Paul took the leftover straw and put it on the trailer and took Aiden and the neighbor kids from house to house on the little hay ride.
My little chicken
He doesn't look thrilled in any of these pictures.

These are suppose to be straw hats. In our defense, I put our "farmer" costume together in like 2 min. It was kind of a last minute thing.

His orginal costume was a duck. This is what he wore for our ward "Trunk or Treat" but then I found the chicken costume and he looked some much cuter! The bonus is the fact that I was able to get it for only$2 at Old Navy!

Aiden 6 months

Wow, I can't believe he is already 6 months! How the time flies.
At his 6 month appointment he was 17lb 13 oz and 26.25 inches

What a cute boy!!!

He looks like a train conductor in this one. What a mean mom.

This is Aiden's buddy Will. Will is really catching up to Aiden. I think they are pretty much the same size now. (Except for Aiden's cheeks)

Time Out For Women

A couple weekends ago I had the fabulous opportunity to go to Time Out For Women and it was everything I expected it to be and more. Paul watched Aiden on Friday night and then we took him with us on Saturday. He was really good, although he was flirting with all the women behind us. I went with Paul's mom, Katherine, both of his Grandmas, Grandma Cauley and Emaw (Butler) and Grandma Cauley's friend Sis. This was the second time I have gone and they did not disappoint. The speakers were all very inspirational yet fun and entertaining at the same time. It was so easy to feel the spirit while we were there. If you ever have a chance to go, take it. It was well worth the money!

Put him in a Pumpkin Shell...

...and there we kept him very well.
My friend Lisa saw a similar picture and knew we had to try it out with the boys. (She has a little guy a few weeks younger then Aiden) We could not have been more please with how they turned out. We had a short window of time to take them in because we wanted to get the lighting and everything just right but luckily the boys were both good sports and very cooperative.
