Thanksgiving

Even though Christmas has already past I still wanted to include a post about Thanksgiving. This year it was a little different for Paul and I. Thanksgivings past have been spent with either his parents or mine. This year we stayed at home and Holly and Cameron came from Flordia to spend the Holiday with us. Even though it wasn't our usual Thanksgiving and the rolls didn't quite turn out like Grandma Johnston's (the second attempt was more successful) we still made a lot of good memories and had a lot of fun. Friday of course was filled with early morning shopping and seemed to last throughout the entire day. Although we did take a few breaks . Even though they left us with thier colds we were really sad to see Holly & Cameron leave. We enjoy spending time with them and really look foward to our next outing with them.

This year we tried something new and decided to fry our Turkey. It turned out really good. The best turkey I have ever had I think.

On Saturday we travelled to Wilmington to check out the Battleship North Carolina. It was cool to see but I would have to agree with Holly. Once you see the first few floors everything else kind of looks the same. The boys really enjoyed it though.

We even had time to squeeze in a Tinkerbell birthday party.

It's a Boy!

I have been terrible with updating our blog. I do have two good excuses though. One, things are just busy. Since Christmas is a busy time for retail I have been able to work a lot of overtime. Paul doesn't really seem to understand why I am complaining though because I am working pretty much the same hours he works every week. Oh well, I'm pregnant. And two, we are pretty boring right now. We don't really have a lot to blog about, unless you want to hear about hospital renovations or lip balm. Neither of which are really exciting.

Well now I do have a little something to blog about.

We are having a little baby boy!

We are pretty excited. Paul will finally have a willing fishing buddy. I was pretty anxious to find out what we were having because I wanted to start shopping but honestly since we found out three weeks ago I have only bought a couple things. I think it was because I envisioned buying all these cute little dresses and girly things. Boy clothes just aren't as fun. That will probably turn out to be a good thing though, at least for our check book. I think I could have gotten a little carried away with a girl. But like I said. We are totally excited and can't wait for April!

Big News!

OK, so for those of you who don't know (and to answer Angie's question as to why I have not been feeling well) we are expecting a new addition to our family in April. We could not be more excited especially since we have been waiting for this for awhile now. I was really surprised at our first Doctors appointment. When he did the ultrasound I expected just to see a little bean shape but it looked like an actually baby in there. Imagine that! Right now I am just over 10 weeks and my due date is April 22. I am anxious to get through the first trimester. I am not digging this morning sickness thing so much.

What I did on my summer vacation!

I know I have taken forever to post these pictures but here you go Heather!

The second week of September we headed down with Paul's family to the Beach. We rented a house in Frisco on Hatteras Island in the Outer Banks. Even though I felt sick just about the entire time (and the ferry rides didn't help either) we still had a ton of fun. Plans are already in the making for next years beach trip.

Cleaning Crabs-There was alot of this going on all week.

Anyone whose knows Paul knows he had to get in as much fishing as possible.

Paul and Heather kayaking on the ocean.

This was the beach at Orakoke. We rode a ferry over there and just spent the day hanging out.

Paul & Amanda's Wedding

Here are pictures of the wedding. It turned out so beautiful. The only pictures I was able to get of Paul and Amanda was from behind. (It got a little busy) but Amanda looked beautiful.
Although he slept through it all, Cannon made the cutest little ring bearer.

Bachelorette Party

Chanda and Char but together a fun little bachlorette party for Amanda. We didn't do anything special. We just wanted to have some girl fun.
They put together this cute little outfit for her. Doesn't she look like a Rockstar?
We went bowling but we wanted to have some fun with it so we put together this little game. We took a deck of playing cards and each time someone went up to bowl they had to draw a card. Whichever card they drew determined how they had to bowl.

Mom's favorite seemed to be the playboy style. She got really good at it!!!!!!

Idaho!!!

So last week Paul & Amanda got married so I got to take a trip to Idaho. It was a short trip but I tried to squeeze as much in as possible. Although things were a little stressful trying to get in last minute things for the wedding, it was tons of fun hanging out with the fam.

I havn't seen Oaklee since Christmas. She has grown so much. She is so funny. I miss her already.

I always have to scan through the $1 section at Target and they had this cute little princess set so I couldn't resist.

She is on her way to Rodeo Queen

I was able to go to lunch with all my friends from high school. It it crazy how fast time goes by. It was nice to see everyone and how they are all doing.
Chanda and I can be a little goofy sometimes, like here. Char had gotten extentions so Chanda and I decided we wanted some too. Unfortunatly she only had enough for us to do rat tails. To bad that trend didnt stick.
Paul must have missed me because he sent me flowers at work the day after I got back. He is so sweet. I couldn't ask for a better husband.
